SUNce Palace Apartments offers seven accommodation units across three categories: Classic Ground Floor Studio, Superior Studio Apartments and One Bedroom Penthouse Apartment. The studios range from 22 to 29 m² and accommodate up to two guests, while the 61 m² One Bedroom Penthouse Apartment accommodates up to three guests. All apartments are fully equipped with a kitchenette, bathroom, air conditioning and complimentary Wi-Fi.

2. What is the history behind the name SUNce Palace Apartments?

SUNce Palace Apartments has a long tradition of hospitality dating back to the 19th century, when the property operated under the name “Al Sole” – Italian for “Sun”, or “Sunce” in Croatian. The name was later changed to “K Suncu” and “Konačište Sunce”. The name SUNce is also a reflection of the building itself: bathed in sunlight for much of the day, it enjoys a naturally bright and welcoming atmosphere. Today, the name preserves a small but meaningful part of the property's history and its connection to Dubrovnik's tradition of hospitality.

3. Is there a lift at SUNce Palace Apartments?

No. SUNce Palace Apartments are located in a historic building without a lift. Due to the architectural structure and heritage of the building, it was not possible to install a lift during the renovation.

A Classic Ground Floor Studio is available for guests who prefer accommodation without stairs within the building.

4. What facilities and services are available at SUNce Palace Apartments?

All apartments are fully equipped for a comfortable stay and offer complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Guests also have access to a shared laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Baby cots are available on request at no extra charge, and weekly cleaning with a change of bed linen and towels is included for stays longer than seven days.

SUNce Palace Apartments are located in the very heart of Dubrovnik's historic Old Town, just a few steps from Stradun. Their exceptionally central location puts the city's main sights, restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance.

2. Is SUNce Palace Apartments in a pedestrian-only area?

Yes. Dubrovnik Old Town is a pedestrian-only area, and vehicles cannot access the streets around SUNce Palace Apartments. Guests arriving by car will need to continue on foot from either Pile Gate or Ploče Gate, both approximately a 5–10-minute walk from the apartments.

3. Is parking available at SUNce Palace Apartments?

Yes. Complimentary off-site parking is available for all guests staying at SUNce Palace Apartments. The parking is located approximately 4 km from Dubrovnik Old Town. Guests can park their car there and continue to the Old Town by taxi.

4. Can I drive to SUNce Palace Apartments or unload my luggage nearby?

As Dubrovnik Old Town is a pedestrian-only area, guests cannot drive directly to SUNce Palace Apartments. Access by car is restricted to vehicles with a special permit and authorised taxis. If you need to unload your luggage close to the Old Town, a temporary parking permit can be arranged in advance. Pile Parking is approximately a five-minute walk from the apartments and must be reserved in advance.

Yes. SUNce Palace Apartments offer convenient self check-in using a digital entrance lock. As soon as we receive your reservation, we will send you an email with all the relevant information for your stay, including check-in instructions, directions to the apartments, parking information and other useful details. No. There is no 24-hour reception at SUNce Palace Apartments. Our team is available at the property during the morning hours and is happy to assist guests with any questions or requests. We are also available by phone and email throughout the day should you need any assistance during your stay.
